Mission & Vision

The purpose and mission of Freedom Bible Church is to bring people to Jesus for salvation, welcoming them into our family of worship, teaching and encouraging them to follow Christ in the power of the Spirit, and training them for a lifestyle of serving God and reaching others. On a volunteer and non-profit basis the society will seek to achieve the following objectives:

  1. To glorify God in the salvation of souls through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  2. To edify believers through the regular teaching of the Word of God. (2Timothy 3:16-17)
  3. To provide regular services for public worship, prayer and praise. (Acts 2:42-47)
  4. To establish Christ-centered homes, and promotion of world-wide evangelism. (Matt. 28:19-20)
  5. To earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. (Jude 3)
  6. To fellowship with other born again believers in the work of the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Heb.10:25)

Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God,
to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior,
and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
we do now in the presence of God, angels and this assembly,
most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another,
as one body in Christ.

We recognize that we are the children of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We agree with the Word of God that we have the position in Christ,
of freedom from sin by the grace of God.
We understand that we are sanctified or set apart by God
to live for C hrist in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We therefore agree to accept one another as the saints of God,
and to encourage one another to faithfulness in our Christian walk.
We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love;
to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and service;
to promote its prosperity and spirituality;
to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines;
and to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry,
the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor
and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and personal devotions;
to educate our children in the Christian faith,
to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances,
to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings,
faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our conduct;
To avoid all gossip, slander and excessive anger,
to go directly to others when we have issues with them,
to honor our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit,
to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior,
and to give Him pre-eminence in all things.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love,
to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress,
to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech,
to be slow to take offence but always ready for reconciliation,
and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.
We moreover engage that should we leave this place,
we will as soon as possible unite with some other church
where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant
and the principles of God’s word.
